Spaghetti Dinner, Sat. Feb 26th

This annual activity is always a wonderful event, with good food and good friends. Take a night off and take the family out to your neighborhood Italian cafe, at the clubhouse! Dinner includes spaghetti with your choice of sauce, salad, garlic bread, wine, punch and coffee. Tickets may be purchased in advance by sending your check to the clubhouse. Advance ticket purchase prices are $5.00/Adults, $4.00/Children 6-12. At the door tickets are $7.00/Adults, $6.00/Children 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.

BUNKO NIGHT! Thursday, April 7th
7PM - 9PM

What is Bunko? It is a social dice game played in rounds and with multiples of 4 people (we will give instructions on how to play at 6:50 PM). We have set a 2 hour duration for the game with 2 or 3 short breaks. At the end of the night we give away 5 PRIZES! Come and meet new people or bring some friends. We will have snacks, coffee & tea with a great deal of fun & laughter. Los Paseos Swim Team

The Los Paseos Pool hosts a summer (cabana league) swim team that runs from May through the end of July. Children aged 5 through 18 that are either part of the LPHOA, or live within the LP Association boundaries are invited to participate. No experience is necessary. The team hosts several meets throughout the season, and schedules numerous recreational activities including a raft trip and an overnight party at the pool. Now Hiring - Gate Guards and Life Guards

We are now taking applications for the 2005 season. If you are interested in applying for a position as Gate Guard or Life Guard please pick up an application at the clubhouse. Interviews will begin in March.

Did You Know?

Your annual assessment money is hard at work. The Los Paseos Association Board has approved repairs to both the lap and wading pools. These improvements include four new filters, three new pumps, and a brand new chemical maintenance system. The new powerful water circulation is now clearly visible and the water looks inviting enough to jump in, even in the cold of winter!

Facility Improvements

As you probably know, the Los Paseos Association grounds and clubhouse could use some improvements and upgrades. The Board would like your feedback on the idea of increasing Associate Membership from 75 to 85 to raise additional funds for these upgrades. The increased funds would be used specifically to improve the pool grounds and clubhouse. Your input is important. Please email or call the office with your thoughts on the increase. Landscape Improvements

Heads up! Changes to the landscaping in the front area of the clubhouse grounds will be discussed at the next Board Meeting. Mark your calendars now, and plan to attend with your thoughts and suggestions, or just come to see what new, exciting, changes are being planned. Wednesday, March 2nd at 7pm. at the clubhouse.

Jr. Block Monitors Needed

Let's all give a huge THANK YOU to our existing block monitors. They diligently deliver your Que Paso newsletter and other important communications every month. Without them, our postage fees would skyrocket. But let's face it, everyone needs a break now and then. So we are turning to you for your help. We are seeking at least 5 youths, min. age 13, to help deliver our communications. In return for your speedy delivery services, you will receive a cool thank you gift each month. Second Harvest Food Bank Sends Their Thanks

Thank you to those of you who attended the Arts & Crafts Fair back in December. There were some truly beautiful, artful, items for sale. Each vendor donated one item to be given away as a raffle prize, which raised $79.00 for the Second Harvest Food Bank. We received a thank you letter from the Second Harvest Food Bank informing us that our $79.00 will provide 158 nutritious meals for those who are hungry in our community. So, thank you for attending our fun event and making this community service project a success.

Clubhouse Rentals

The pool maybe closed for the winter but the Clubhouse is not. Consider using the Los Paseos Clubhouse for your upcoming events. It's perfect for birthday and anniversary parties, graduations, family reunions, weddings, and showers. The location is convenient with plenty of parking. In addition, it's inexpensive and well equipped for your event. Use of the kitchen is included and there are plenty of folding chairs and tables available, as well as barbecue facilities. Call or email the office for available dates and costs. 224-9880.
