From: [email protected] (Eugene Bradley)

Hello.

How often are you late because your bus or light rail train never showed up?
How many times has your connecting bus or train left, just as you arrived?
How frequently have you been stranded because your bus stopped running for the day?
How often do you drive because mass transit in the South Bay is too inconvenient for you?

If the answer is TOO OFTEN...
then you need to join the Santa Clara VTA Riders Union, a grassroots-based transit riders association and watchdog group for Santa Clara County.

We are a group of fellow transit riders working for better, more reliable, and more cost-effective mass transit in Santa Clara County. To join us and get involved, visit our web site at http://www.vtaridersunion.org/, leave a message with our founder, Eugene Bradley, at (408)830-9284. We are looking for VTA bus/light rail/Caltrain riders in the South San Jose/Santa Teresa area to get involved with us. We are also looking for motorists who drive because mass transit is simply too inconvenient to justify its use.

As you read this, local politicians are making decisions that affect how you will use mass transit now and in the future. According to VTA's 2003 Fiscal Year Budget, almost 90% of VTA operations funding comes from YOU either at the farebox or thru local and state sales taxes. Isn't it time you demanded better from your local mass transit system? We can put you in direct contact with the politicians who have the power to make it happen. But for that to happen, YOU need to get involved. We can show you how. We ask only for your time as our dues.

Note that we are NOT affiliated with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority in any way.
