Subj: Link to Blight Ord[i]nance Issue
From: [email protected]

Hi Everyone,

The SJ City Council will vote on the newly expanded and restrictive parking ordnance under the auspices of "Blight".

Many citizens will be negatively impacted by this expanded ordnance including RV, trailer (any kind including but not limited to: horse, utility, flat bed, jet-ski, Wave Runner , etc.). It even impacts non-op but otherwise nice looking vehicles parked in your OWN driveway.

Please check the following link or go to the SJ City Web site and read the text for yourself.

The ordnance has already been drafted and can be downloaded from the following city Web site:
www.ci.san-jose.ca.us
Click on City Council Agendas in the upper right side of the page and scroll to 4/30/02 Agenda. The proposed revision to the blight ordinance is item 5.3.

Then call your city council rep and let them know your opinion on this issue.
Call 408.277-4000
(to obtain the name and phone number of your city council rep)

OR check online at:
www.ci.san-jose.ca.us/council.html

Remember to act soon. The city council will decide this issue on May 28th. We MUST let the city council know we oppose this intrusive and restrictive ordnance before the meeting or it will be too late.

You can also obtain additional information from the following Web site:

CITY COUNCIL MEETING
DATE: Tuesday, May 28, 2002
TIME: 6 PM to 9 PM
LOCATION: 801 N. First Street
  (City Council Chambers)

Thanks,

John Farris
