I think the smallish roaches we're seeing in the area are pretty much harmless outdoor types. We've had a couple in the garage, but it's easy access through ill-fitting doors.
Pest services are fine, but the sprays, I think, tend to kill everything that flys or crawls. We prefer to put up with a few "bad" bugs in order not to sacrifice the valuable ones. Just a personal opinion. As for the coyotes, there's nothing more errie (sp?) and wonderful that to hear a coyote calling out to another...and the answering call. We're lucky to have them - along with the opossums, raccoons and, yes, even the skunks! Just be careful with your pets and small children and we can co-exist.
