Re my previous posting...received a very nice call from Lulu Quintoriano at the City Arborist office with apologies for delays in getting back to us. She explained the tree permit system. A city permit is required to remove, plant or prune street trees. The permit is FREE!!! What a suprise from any governmental agency. Unfortunately there are no funds for replacing trees, but we received a permit application and info package. Lulu has an email address, but, unfortuately I misplaced it.
