Subj: Parking Strip Trees From: [email protected] We recently lost a plum tree planted at the time our neighborhood was
established..has to be 30 years ago or so, so we really got our money's
worth out of the plant. It finally gave up the fight and fell over -
one of the last of it's kind to go.
We phoned the City about the policy on new trees, but, of course,
reached only the ever-courteous voice-mail with a promise to "get back
to you". I assume someone will...eventually.
We recall a flyer some time ago from the California Conservation Corps
with the offer to plant replacement trees at little or no cost. Has
anyone out there used this service, and can you provide any details.
Thanks for any assistance. |
