Subj: Re: Re: Old IBM land on Cottle Road in South San Jose From: Martin They are going to develop a Target Superstore and housing. From what I found online it's going to add a lot of traffic and people - turning our neighborhood into another Alamden/Wal-Mart logjam. You should contact our City Councilman and voice your opinion. Nancy Pyle Signature Properties is redeveloping 128 acres from Hitachi, who will remain on their portion of the property in a consolidated and more efficient campus format of 3.4 million square feet. Some 2,930 high-end residential units will be constructed adjacent to Cottle Station Marketplace. This residential development will add approximately 9,000 to 10,000 new residents to the existing 143,030 residents within 3-miles and 24,813 residents within 1 mile of the retail property. In addition, the center will draw daytime traffic of 20,482 people within 1 mile, including the existing 3,500 employees working at Hitachi on a daily basis. |
