Subj: Cisco Systems Feedback From: [email protected] I am in favor of the campus AT REDUCED URBAN Density and with long-planned Baily road access in and out of a widened (at least 6 lane (3 lanes each way) US101). Housing density at Cisco must not exceed a rate of 5500 or so per square mile. The Metropolitan Transportation Commission cites that for every transit trip people have
12 car trips (including LRT), so our roads cannot handle more than a 5500 or so per square mile rate without service level below 'D' at Bailey, Bernal, Cottle. It would make
all intersections, both with lights and not that much more dangerous. Through traffic must be routed to US101 and Monterey Road. I differ with environmentalists and the
Silicon Valley power structure in their support of the labeled "Smart Growth" plan. This plan is nothing more than creation of high-density Urban Ghettos in California. Think
about the ramifications.... they fit. I like District 2 suburbia. Forrest Williams will be nothing more than a Charlotte and high-density clone. This is part of the litmus test all
democrats who run for office with party backing must pass to run for city council as a 'blessed' [demo] candidate. ! |
