Subj: Cisco Systems campus feedback From: [email protected] Cisco will bring a lot of people to the area that are earning above average incomes. With traffic congestion, those people will begin to look at either Morgan Hill (south) or South San Jose to relocate their families. Therefore, our real estate will benefit and, therefore, new business will be attracted to the area. The shopping center on the corner of Santa Teresa and Cottle is in desperate need of a "face-lift". I recently purchased my home and I feel that the shopping center is grossly under-utilized. Why would anyone want to shop there, its run-down. We will all benefit from Cisco coming to town, eventually, businesses WILL occupy that space, lets attract a quality company like Cisco rather than a recycling plant or some other business that may not be as aesthetically pleasing. If you've ever driven down HWY101, there's no doubt in my mind that Cisco will build a beautiful campus and will bring decent hard-working citizens to the area. I am absolutely in favor of Cisco moving to our community to conduct business, and others like Cisco. Not only that, for those people with technical backgrounds, this offers an excellent opportunity for employment without a nightmare commute. Cory Swint |
