Subj: Avenida Espana Park From: [email protected] (Lisa Gasparovic) Hello!! I had posted an E-mail on the chat section of this web-site before I saw this section today. This web-site is great and I have really been able to get a lot of valuable information in regards to my neighborhood. Thanks!! I'm hoping someone might be able to tell me if there are any plans to do anything with the plot of land they call Avenida Espana Park. It's a small area right off of Avenida Espana and Santa Teresa. I was so excited when I heard they were putting in a park there. That has been well over a year ago, maybe two. Basically, all that exists is a sign and a trashcan. They did put in some grass, but I was really hoping for some playground eqpt and a picnic area. I never see anyone at this park, and I think it's really ashamed. I know there are a lot of young children in this area. Does anyone have any ideas on how we could increase awareness on this issue? I am very willing to donate my time and hard work to do whatever it takes to make this a place for our kids to play!! Sincerely, --- Lisa Gasparovic |
