Subj: Businesses leaving Plaza de Santa Teresa From: [email protected] (Joe Martinez) Well, this is a sad sad day to learn about Rite Aid and McDonalds leaving! That shopping center is going to be like a ghost town! I don't understand why Rite Aid would move to Bernal Plaza, with the big Lucky's/Savon right there! I think we're on a slippery slope. The more businesses that leave, the more it hurts the current businesses and makes THEM want to leave. How much longer before Santa Teresa Video and the Hallmark store leave? There will be nothing left soon! Does anyone know what the actual stumbling blocks were for 24-hour fitness falling through? Why wouldn't the city approve the land use change? I thought it was pretty much a done deal! If the city is really making it so hard that 24 hour fitness can't get in, will we EVER see an anchor tennant come in? This is really starting to worry me! If the city won't change the land use from "Grocery Store", and Lucky's won't let a grocery store come in, then that space is destined to be vacant FOREVER!!! -Joe |
