The Lucky's Center is in dire need of a facelift. The center is an eyesore. With new shopping centers at Blossom Hill and Bernal, it is going to be hard to attract high quality businesses to the Lucky center at Cottle and Santa Teresa. The whole center should be updated, and they should try to attract businesses that match the demographics of the community - for example a Trader Joe's, a good coffeehouse (like a Peet's), and a cleaned-up, updated drugstore. In its current state, the shopping center attracts a number of low-lifes and kids who cruise through there in cars, etc. It increases the crime risk in our community, and decreases our property values.
