On Saturday the Mercury News published an article titled "City Raises Stink about Power Plant." Some quotes from the article:

"Morgan Hill's city council, fearing city residents would become the downwind victims of a proposed South San Jose power plant, agreed to oppose the project this week."

" 'It's clear the pollution stream will be blowing down here,' said Morgan Hill Mayor Dennis Kennedy, who criticized the plant's developers. 'We feel that we're getting the runaround, that we're not getting answers, so we have to take a strong position of opposition.' "

"But Kennedy said he and the four other members of the council wanted to make Morgan Hill's position 'known to the decision-makers very loud and clear and very early, early enough in the process so they can think twice before they make any commitments.'"
