I've just finished reading the Sept 7th proceedings for the CEC siting case at Moss Landing. Included were all the public comments. All of them-- 100%-- were complimentary and favorable to the project, to Duke Energy, and to the agencies involved in the project.

This is in sharp contrast to what's happening in the MEC case. It shows that an automatic and reactionary knee-jerk negative response to such projects is not a given. Hopefully, the CEC, other State agencies, the City of San Jose, Santa Clara County, our District Supervisor, and Calpine will take notice and do the right thing: which is to locate energy production facilities in places where the public health and welfare are unlikely to be compromised.
