Webmaster, could you please consider a button to click on that would give some information on how to contribute money to the STCAG ( Santa Teresa Citizen Action Group ) on your web site were it is really easy to find. Also please put the September 28th (Tuesday night ) 6:00pm-10:00pm at Martin Murphy's Gymnasium. And one last thing, when you get the time please delete the planning commission and city counsel meetings that don't pertain to the power plant if you still think that might be a good idea.

Thanks,
Issa

Hi Issa,

Santa Teresa Citizen Action Group has joined United Neighborhoods of Santa Clara County. United Neighborhoods of Santa Clara County is a non-profit organization. You can mail contributions to Santa Teresa Citizen Action Group to the following address:

Santa Teresa Citizen Action Group
PMB 250
117 Bernal Road, #70
San Jose, CA 95119

100% of your contribution will go to Santa Teresa Citizen Action Group. If you would like your contribution to be tax deductible, send your check to the same address but make the check out to United Neighborhoods of Santa Clara County and note on the check that it is for Santa Teresa Citizen Action Group. United Neighborhoods takes a small percentage (about 5%) for processing.

I have added the community meeting/informational faire to the Events page. This meeting is for everyone. It is being put on by the community for the community. There will be many speakers on a variety of topics related to the Calpine and Cisco projects in our community. There will be question and answer periods every 15 minutes. Community members have been researching the Calpine and Cisco projects for over six months and have attended many meetings. They will be available to share all of their discovered information and to answer all of your questions and to make it as simple to understand as possible. If you need to bring the children, part of the gymnasium will be devoted to on-site childcare with toys and story time.

I intend to keep the other planning commission and city council hearing dates up on the Events page. October 20th, 1999 will be the date for the Planning Commission Hearing for our district (District 2). October 25th, 1999 will be for District 4, 5 and 7. District 4 is where Calpine wants to build another power plant in North San Jose. October 27th, 1999 is for District 3, 8 and 10. District 10 is Almaden and Blossom Valley. There is a housing development project in the Santa Teresa / Almaden hills that many people are probably interested in. The City Council will hear our District 2 changes on November 8th, 1999. The City Council will hear District 4, 5 and 7 projects on November 15th, 1999. The City Council will hear District 3, 8 and 10 projects on November 18th, 1999.

As time permits, I will attempt to add a button where people can find information on how to contribute to Santa Teresa Citizen Action Group. [SAS]
