Subj: Business Journal From: [email protected] In the Business Journal of July 26, 1999 Kent Edens, deputy director of the city of San Jose's Planning, Building and Code Enforcement Department said in an article titled "Keeping Coyote Valley Green": "Calpine chose one of the few places we'd even consider, up against Tulare Hill. This is probably the least offensive visual location, and it also fits in well with the plan to extend the Santa Clara Valley Water District's South Bay Water Recycling project for using reclaimed waste water." Hopefully the reporter misquoted Mr. Edens because as I read this quote it says that aesthetics are more important than the health and safety of the many people living and possibly working near the proposed site.
