Subj: 7/12 meeting From: [email protected] (Sue Swackhamer) The write-up about the July meeting is thorough and I do appreciate your efforts, however, I did not ask anything about the groundwater. My questions were 1) Because Calpine usually has two plants at each site and because Calpine has the option to buy the land south of the site, do they have any plans to develop the surrounding area? Calpine: Not at this time. 2) Will only local environmentalists be involved in the riparian corridor restoration? CEC: We publish and notify as many people as we can. 3) What guarantee do we have that Calpine will do an adequate and honest job in locating cultural resources? CEC: their results will be verified. 4) I voiced my concern over the number of exceptions to the San Jose General Plan, etc. that the planning department will give Calpine in the effort to maximize recycled water use.
