Subj: Power plant in Crockett, California From: [email protected] Send your inquires to the Crockett Improvement Association, Crockett, CA 94525. There are several people invovled in this organization that were involved in the Cogeneration plant. They have a P.O. Box, but I don't know it. The town is small, so they will get it. You are right about the struggle. People worked very hard to get the plant moved out of sight of homes. I live two blocks away from the plant. I can't see it because it is behind some existing storage containers. However, the noise level at my home is louder now even though the plant people claim there is no noise. The plant is right next to the C&H Sugar Refinery. C&H is also loud. The town gets $300,000 per year for, I think, 30 years as compensation for the plant. Anyhow, the CIA (Crockett Improvement Association) can put you in touch with the right people to help you. Good luck. Carol |
