Subj: Cisco Systems Feedback I am against the location of the Cisco campus project mainly for poorly planned traffic and density issues. I believe San Jose would do very well with increased business within its city boundaries, but not at this location. The traffic that will be created from this amount of jobs will be horrendous. I fear that Santa Teresa Blvd will turn into highway 85 southbound at around 4:30pm Friday at around, oh, anywhere from the De Anza College exit through to Camden. This is ridiculous. We have an expanding business center in downtown San Jose that has a well served public transit system that can handle this sort of traffic that the business and its followers will bring. What will happen at 12 noon when everyone wants lunch? Come on, even the most fabulous cafeteria gets old after a while. So, for 3 times out of the day, incoming, lunch, and outgoing, traffic will be horrendous. San Jose residents need to realize that we need to structure our city in a way compatible to efficient means of transport. Locating 400+ jobs in the middle of Coyote Valley with only a few more or less suburban roads for entry and exit is ludicrous! Planning smarter will prevent headaches |
