Subj: Cisco Petition From: [email protected] I was approached yesterday at Costco (Almaden) by a very aggressive petition gatherer who was yelling at people to "Sign a petition to bring Cisco to town, more jobs, more money." He said these exact words repeatedly, at least a dozen times while I was there, very loudly. He had 5 or 6 clipboards going, passing them to new people as he got signatures. He seemed to be getting quite a few signatures. Scanning his paperwork, I realized it actually is the Richmond-Young anti-greenbelt petition. I asked him why he was saying Cisco, when the initiative didn't mention Cisco, he said it had to do with Coyote Valley, where new Cisco campus would be. I have tried to reach Pat O'Hearn this morning, but I am unsure what officially, if anything, can be done to address this blatantly dishonest tactic. Elizabeth |
