Subj: Cisco From: [email protected] I urge each of you to look beyond the new jobs and new money that Cisco will bring. Don't let yourself regret this development after the newness has worn off, and the Coyote Valley is paved over. Don't wait until your older children are forced to move to Modesto because housing prices are too high for them in their home town of San Jose. Don't wait until your local school can't hire new teachers because nobody with a teacher's salary can afford to live in your area. Don't wait until your stuck in traffic for 5 hours on Santa Teresa Boulevard to realize that maybe there were too many people in South San Jose even before Cisco pulled 20,000 more in. And don't wait until the green fields of Coyote Valley are paved over, and the mustard does not return in the spring, that maybe you should have done something to preserve that beauty back in the spring of 00' when the Cisco development was only a proposal. Don't wait till after the development has happened to complain about the problems it will cause. The time is now. We can not let Silicon Valley continue to destroy itself with too much success. Enough is enough. For more info. visit: http://members.aol.com/MVNick/SaveCoyoteValley.htm |
