Subj: Re: Robbery warning So sorry! Same thing happened to me, at Avenida Espana and Santa Teresa Blvd just before 8 am on September 22. A male driver in a 1980s silver Honda Civic (boxy kind) drove away. Man was 6'1 in his 20s, according to the teacher. The exhaust on the car was loud. Wish I had the license plate, but it didn't look like the car had it. The teacher saw the man take out the purse out of my van in broad daylight. Like your daughter's incident, the man broke the passenger side mirror. I read about your daughter's post on NextDoor, a white Chevy Malibu. Thieves are targeting daycare centers/schools, alright! I learned to take all valuables out of the car. NextDoor shows that vehicle burglaries happen almost daily in our area. Two of my neighbors had their vehicles broken into in recent months. I organized a neighborhood watch on my street and the preschool director is working on organizing one at my child's daycare. |
