VTA WANTS TO FURTHER CUT SERVICES TO SENIORS AND DISABLED and RAISE FARES!

• They want to raise adult one-way fares from $1.40 to $1.50, and raise adult day passes from $4.00 to $5.00!
• They want to increase fares for day passes for seniors and disabled from $1.25 per day to $2.00 per day!
• They want to raise monthly pass fares for seniors and disabled from $11.00 to $20 per month!
• They want to eliminate door-to-door service on paratransit (Outreach) and replace it with curb-to-curb service.

While they continue to cut service to bus and light rail, they want to further restrict paratransit services to seniors and the disabled.

VTA also wants to cut health care benefits for bus and light rail drivers and clerical staff.

Join us for a Rally/Press Conference on Thursday May 1 at 4:30 P.M. at 70 W. Hedding Street, San Jose, outside the main entrance (near the Board Chambers Auditorium). The VTA Board meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers. Let the Board know how you feel about these changes!
