Subj: Cottle-Lester property
From: [email protected]

I would like to direct everyone's attention to the Opinion Letter written to the San Jose Mercury-News by David Fadness and published in the June 2nd paper. The property in question is on Snell between Branham and Chynoweth. The Lester-Cottle family has intended that it be left to the city or county for a park but now a substantial part may have to be sold off to pay the inheritance taxes due now because of the death of Mr. Lester's sister.

Please act upon Mr. Fadness' suggestion to write Congressman Bill Thomas and request favorable consideration of HR 1486. We need the park.

H. Bielefeld
