Subj: This past week-end's triathalon From: [email protected] (Caprice Scarborough) Dear Mayor Gonzales, We live in the Santa Teresa area, near Cottle Road. We're concerned that the sponsors of last week-end's triathalon did so little to prepare our neighborhood for the disruption it caused. Although signs were visibly posted around Almaden Lake, the notice to residents further along the bike route was inadequate. We went to Lake Almaden last year to support and cheer on friends who participated. Events like this are important to our community, and we're happy that they are supported here in San Jose. Is it too much to ask, though, that the sponsors do all that they can to notify residents that they can expect a substantial delay and detour? We'd appreciate any help with this next year. Sincerely, |
