Subj: Shopping tip # 1
From: [email protected] (Annie Cant)

Hi guys, thought I'd like to share a shopping experience with you all. In preparation for the upcoming season of feasting I've been trying to drop a little weight by eating a sensible lunch, if I don't I just graze all day. So I've been buying Smart Ones whilst they're on sale at the new Lucky store in the new Bernal complex.

Imagine my joy at finding Fiesta chicken, 2 grams of fat at only $1.49. I bought 10. They charged me full price. A full $1.00 more per pack.I queried it, they brought me the pricing label with "limit of 4" in tiny print in the left hand bottom corner. I called it deceptive practice and asked for my check back. I got a manager instead who couldn't apologise enough, gave me four meals for free and my money back that I was overcharged.

This was all too smooth. Luckys excuse is they don't know how to label the limit but that they are within the law by displaying this label, even if most of us can't read it.

My advise, go buy as many as you want and tell them their label isn't big enough, the people who don't complain give them enough extra profit to make up for those of us who recognize gouging when we see it.

Thats all for now folks, Annie.

Ps. Perhaps I should stop watching Fried green tomatoes over and over again. Next it'll be, I'm older and I have more insurance.
