Dear Community Members:

I owe you an apology. I had my facts and understanding mixed up regarding the General Plan change and the planned development zoning approved for the former Fairchild property.

In personally, researching the matter further, Jeff Roach of the Planning Department informed me of the following facts and information. In 1987, the Gerneral Plan designation for the property was changed from industrial to commercial. Then in 1997, the Planning Commision, Planning Department and City Council approved the property for a planned development zoning designation.

Again, my sincere apology. Thank you for your understanding.
