Subj: STHS Field Restrictions From: [email protected] (Terri Lampe) I'd like to express my anger and frustration at the field restrictions
placed on the Athletic fields of Santa Theresa High School. How can a
handful of people dictate to a public High School how and when they can
have athletic events on their own field? Are other high schools subject
to this sort of restriction, I doubt it. Here are 100+ kids, getting out
from in front of the TV and off the streets. Exercising even! How is
this a bad thing? The practices were held between 5pm and 7pm. Most
people are just getting off work around then. How is this destroying
someone's quality of life??? I would like to also add to the comment
someone else made in a previous posting. This school has been here for
years. It's hard not to notice when you are house hunting. If noise is
such an issue with you, you shouldn't have bought near a school! We live
on Dunn Avenue, right in the neighborhood of both Glider and Santa
Theresa. We were well aware of what that entailed when we bought our
home. Is there a lawyer in the community that would be willing to help
represent those in favor of a sports program (outside of 9am to 5pm) at
the high school? |
