Subj: Council members and CALPINE
From: [email protected]

Who is this Forest person that Charlotte Powers is advocating as her replacement for city council?

I suggest that a recommendation by Charlotte is a good reason NOT to vote for him.
Why has she not taken a stand against the power plant?

I cannot understand why our district representative does not represent the people in her district.

Why doesn't the City of San Jose simply object to the location of the power plant?
It does not belong that close to any neighborhood. It is not in the interest of the local residents. How does it benefit San Jose? Who is benefitting financially from these decisions besides Calpine?

Candidates for any upcoming elections should be judged on their position on the power plant and other similar issues.

If a candidate fails to take any position, it is a sign of weakness, and he should not receive your vote either.

POLITICS!!!

Charlotte Powers has turned off a number of people by her lack of representing the very people she was elected to serve. Many have given-up on city government and these community meetings.

The process seems like a sham! The power plant seems like a done deal, but we must go through the community meetings mandated by law.

If the meetings are supposed to be an information exchange, when will we hear where San Jose city government stands on this issue?
