Subj: power plant From: [email protected] I see your comments in the Sunday Mercury News, of 6 June, indicating that representative Charlotte Powers was non-commital about her stand on the power plant. I believe this is typical for her and other San Jose politicians, and it is a bad sign that they are already planning to support the plant, rather than fight for the will of the local residents. This project is going to go the way of Group Homes (drug rehabilitation houses) and the airport expansion. This local government attempts to lead you to believe that the people are involved in the process through petitions and town meetings, etc., but in the end they simply do as they please for profit or political gain. It would be better to hire a lawyer and find an endangered plant or animal on this habitat to block the plant. Where is the Green Party or other environmentalist groups opposed to this matter? |
