Subj: Cisco Systems Feedback From: [email protected] (Pat Diamond) Probably covered above. City of San Jose should build the highways and overpasses etc for the new traffic if it wants the additional tax base. |
Subj: Cisco Date: 08/21/00 11:43 AM If Cisco were showing itself to be more environmentally concerned, I would support them building in Coyote. Yes, it costs more to build multi-story parking garages, but Cisco seems determined to pave over wetlands (in Milpitas) and farmland (in Coyote). And if public transportation will be so central to the Coyote campus, why do they need 22k parking spaces for 20k employees? Does Chambers really think the only cost to doing business is what produces output? For those residents who think their housing prices are going to go up, please think again. Historically, that has not proved true. Most people do not want to live in a congested, impacted, polluted area. Which is what this area (I've been here 23 years) will become. Sincerely, |
