Subj: Cisco Systems Planned Campus From: [email protected] (Kristine Dillon) I am so saddened to read that the majority of respondents mainly quote the benefits of developing Coyote Valley as simply being that it is inevitable, it will bring jobs, create billions for the city's coffers, and bring money to existing land/homeowners through increased values. For me, all I have to do is take a drive through downtown San Jose, San Francisco, smell the scents of 880 and 680 and compare that with a simple drive on the backside of IBM near Calero Dam. Those open spaces are so invigorating, calming and soothing. Quality of life is so much more than money, monster houses and a new S.U.V. being driven by a cellphone talking head. California is a wondrously beautiful state but it's taking longer and longer to find those back roads that exhibit it's primitive beauty. Let Cisco develop in an outlying area such as Los Banos...now that will create a true reverse commute! Thank you. |
